on cultivation, propagation, and looking at plants in the wild

In the ephemeral register, I plan to accumulate observations [and investigations] into the cultivation of unusual plants. It’ll be driven by my interests, especially in woodland perennials and ephemerals, with particular attention to Trillium, Paris, and Erythronium. I’m interested not only in successful cultivation of individual specimens, but also in the maintenance of genetically diverse populations, the provenance of cultivated material, and the development of distinctive garden selections. In the spirit of a digital garden, I plan for this to be part collection record, part experimental notebook.
